'Dowry ' in the ancient period was referred to
the gifts given by the parents to their daughter on her marriage. But slowly in
India it became a trend and now a days it became a compulsion for girls parents.
Where poor people suffer due to this problem, on the other hand its a fashion
for the richer families. Rich people used to give more and more dowry in the
form of expensive gifts to their daughter. the groom's parents also demanding
more n more. it seems that marriage has become a business.
Middle class & poor families cannot give dowry on their daughter's marriage. But grrom's parents demand dowry. Thats why after every 4 hour a case of dowry is submit in court in India.There is a law for dowry but not strictly applied in India.
Who responsible for dowry system?
In India firstly responsible of dowry system is government.Because government is not taking strict actions on dowry system. Secondly responsible for dowry is woman. Because most cases in courts sumbmited against womens for demanding expensive gifts . woman is enemies of womans in India.Third responsible for dowry in India is to sex ratio.

Best way to stop the dowry system from the society is to start think positiv. We live in socity and meet with other castes/religon's people.Some time boys and girls of other caste fall in love and agree to don't take dowry on marriage. They wants to marry each other but their parents d not allow them. If that parents allow their childs for marriage than dowry system may be stop.
Highl qualified girl is the best dowry. Girls parents are advised to educate their daughters the best as the time has changed and Now a time that education has much value in the every fields.
